Some people choose to stay stuck and unfortunately there is nothing we can really do to help some people, no matter how bad we want it for people we care about the only thing you can do is keep moving forward. Not to bring back maybe a terrible memory but just think about a major separation or a break up that you went through before. You had your differences and that’s just a part of life, but lets get into the nitty gritty or the meat and potatoes of what this post is about and how it can help you.

They Will Give It Their Best Shot To Stop You
When you are dealing with the type of business that we are in personal growth is the most important part of it all. As you are changing your mindset the people that you’ve hung around your whole life if not connected directly with what you are doing, those friends and family aren’t changing for the better like you are. They are still watching the same tv shows they’ve been watching for years and truthfully doing the same non productive things that won’t help move their lives forward with improvement. What’s unfortunate is your friends may start to make fun of you because instead of your car bumping music 24/7 you may have some John C Maxwell in or some Jim Rohn or some Dani Johnson when they get inside and they may not be with that. What is the hardest part is the people that supposedly care about you don’t want you to grow they don’t want you to change they want you to stay the same. My friends let me just tell you that if you want to grow, if you want significance for your family you can not remain the same. You WILL start to make more money, you WILL start to live in different neighborhoods, you WILL start to drive a different car, you WILL start to travel and this WILL start to be normal in your life. As that happens people will start to think oh he or she thinks there too good now when in fact your life is just allowing you to do more then they can and jealousy and envy can start to creep in.

It Will Get Easy If You Let It
Separation does happen in this business it’s inevitable because you start to surround yourself with a different crowd. It’s not easy at first when you start to separate yourself but it is part of this journey called life, just think about High School and how many people you don’t hang around anymore that you use to do everything with. If you are in High School now oh well you will understand that aspect later but for now just understand if you want what other successful people have, you have to be willing to do what other successful people do, FACT! How is this post supposed to help you? By knowing that this is very likely to happen and understand this, if your WHY isn’t big enough on WHY you are doing the business you are in, then the separation will be harder and remaining the same will be easier. Remember separation in life from personal growth isn’t easy but let me tell you from experience it is worth it, some of my best friends are not in my local town they are a phone call and a flight away because we have the same common wants of significance in our lives for us and our families. The people who really care about you will appreciate you wanting to have more in your life, they will not judge you, they will not condemn you for wanting to achieve greatness. Just remember some people are unaware of the massive benefit your business can do for the average person to achieve above average results. All you can do is give it your best shot to make them aware by sharing it with them, then that can’t say you didn’t let them know what you are doing. Now go make it happen big for you because no one else is going to make it happen big for you, significance is awaiting your arrival.

Understand This

I was on a leadership call that we were having with our team and was reminded by one of our top leaders Melissa McGarvey that I had said “some of us have stinkin thinkin that’s why our bank accounts are funky” LOL but very true though.  What you have to understand in life is that success and failure are all related to what goes in between your two ears and behind your two eyes and more important then all what goes into your heart.  When you are listening to negative data or watching negative shows and news etc… you are setting yourself up for a mindset of failure.  Right now you need to make it mandatory that you are feeding your mind things that will allow you to grow in the direction you want to go.

Recharge or Die (it’s really true)
You need to make it mandatory and not optional that daily you are infusing your mind with people that are giving you empowering thoughts that are based on results not based on theory, with that being said find out what audio books, books or videos the leaders around you are plugging into.  Get this you don’t have to spend all day listening and watching stuff, if you did that then you would never get anything productive done and action and production is what equal results.  But take just a little time out daily heck start out with 30minutes until you can move into a little more time and make sure that you either wake up earlier to get this personal growth done or you do it late at night after your business hours.  By the way speaking of plugging in like I mentioned earlier visualize this, if you are like a battery and you have no place to recharge then you will eventually become powerless and useless so you need to make it mandatory that you stay plugged into a power source daily and weekly.

If your company or team has a weekly call you need to make it mandatory that you attend and you need to lead the charge for your team.  If it’s not important to you it won’t be important to them and you will lead your team to a failure mindset.  The same thing goes with making it to company events in different states or locally, I know especially with the company ViSalus that I work with we are an event driven company that definitely make our events worth investing to attend.

You must start living your life and changing the way you think to a mandatory mindset of doing what people that are successful are doing, if you want to be successful.

Start right now which you really are already by plugging into this blog, but please do not take this lightly because you are not guaranteed tomorrow in life and especially if you have kids or if you are wanting to have a family, you are responsible to make sure your kids are set up and if you continue to do the same things expecting things to change, yeah that’s right you are insane I said it yes I’m talking to you if the shoe fit (great thing about shoes is we can get new ones LOL).

It’s Mandatory I Do What I Do
I hope you understand the only reason I take the time out of my busy schedule to post in my blog is because I truly care about others success and I really don’t care if it benefits me financially or not, I just love to know that I gave it my best shot and that I may have impacted your life or someones life that reads my posts.  All I ask of people who read my blog is pay it forward.  Comment if you have something good or bad to say about a post you read here people love comments and really I like people who keep it real, also please click one of the social media tabs below like Facebook or Twitter and send the posts that you may like here to people in your social media circle so you can help empower others and eventually lead them to a mandatory mindset of success.

P.S.  Here’s a short list of what I believe should be a part of a mandator y mindset

1. Spiritual Equipping
2. Your happiness because people want to be around happiness it is attractive.
3. Personal growth which ties into spiritual equipping as well at least 30minutes daily
4. Setting goals (daily goals make a list the night before of what you want to accomplish put the most difficult goals for the next day first and don’t stop until you accomplish what’s on that list.  Weekly Goals are good because they are the foundation for your monthly goals I would also set a Quarter goal meaning a goal for every 3 months.  TIP: When setting a goal make it something that makes you stretch a little out of your comfort zone because if you don’t get uncomfortable like in lifting weights you won’t grow but don’t make your goal to difficult.  Lastly HUGE TIP make sure you have an accountability partner that you can share your goals with.
5. Taking a little bit of action daily is like water dripping on a rock, it will eventually create a complete change in a solid structure so don’t put off tomorrow what you can do right now.
6. Success formula I was taught is put my Lord 1st spouse or significant other 2nd kids 3rd and business last.

Quiet on the set!!! Ready, set, action! One single perfect take is what a producer really hopes for but why? Because it saves the producer time and money. The big advantage a producer has that you don’t have in your business is the actors, including the extras aren’t going to leave because they get paid to be there and finish their role in the upcoming attraction or commercial. So here’s what I know to be right and I’ve seen this happen for years both the right way and the wrong way, you must learn to be a good producer/actor. What do you mean Madiba? What I mean is your business is a daily ongoing movie and you are constantly scouting for new up and coming talent. Both the producer and actor must sell each other on why they would like one to be in this specific production. The problem, the bad producer is talking to much they are telling more then they need to, where as the good producer says just enough and then gives the actor a script to follow. Cool thing about the script is the actor gets to add their personality and their personal flare to it.

When auditioning for a part
Follow a script because that is something everyone who is auditioning for their part in the movie is doing, you will have some that do better than others at reading the script which will allow some to get star parts and others to get co-star and parts as an extra. The GREAT PART is that as people go through their acting career they have the opportunity to get coaching and become better at their craft which can eventually put them in a lead role. It’s the same with your business you will determine how great you become and how fast you become a person who takes that lead role, so definitely keep on getting mentoring and coaching, never think you are to good.

Quiet on the set/business etiquette
This is a very critical part that I notice a lot of people miss out on big time and ruin adding new actors to their life business movie.  When you are having people sit down at a challenge party or at your business overview at your home or where ever it is held then you must be quiet once the presentation comes on, unless the video or speaker is asking an interactive question like “raise your hand if…”

You are the leader and if you start talking everyone else that’s not a pro at your event thinks it’s okay to talk and if you start walking around to do something, then that just takes emphasis away from the importance of what you are having them watch.   Lastly if you have a leader over at your event just be quiet and let that leader be the producer for the day, they are in the position they are in through activity not theory.  Let them help you make money, if you talk over them or talk period instead of letting them answer question you are only hurting your business and not leading by example.  So in turn what will happen when you go to your team members event where you are the proven leader, they will remember you talking when you had another proven leader in the building.  When a leader is in your event DON’T SPEAK UNLESS SPOKEN TO (Sorry for the all caps but just trying to get my money making point for you across) QUIET ON THE SET…READY, SET, ACTION!  These are all critical parts to a movie and more important a VERY CRITICAL part to your movie that you are acting in don’t deviate and you will get paid.

When leaders are pouring out to you like this blog post it is not based on theory at least not the leaders I run with.  We give value advice based on action we’ve taking that produces proven results.  The current business that you are in can produce a lifetime of wealth if you take it serious.  The reason that certain stars get paid the big bucks is because they take their craft serious and they constantly are working to improve it.  The same thing is the case here in your business you will notice the ones making the big bucks have a certain characteristic to them and they keep working on their craft to get better.  The great part about your movie business is you are the producer/actor and you can’t be fired, the bad part is you can’t be fired.  So that being the case you must be willing to follow the leader, find someone who is in the position that you want to be in this will make your entrepreneurship journey easier.

I remember about 6 years ago when I had been in the car business for over 13 years I enjoyed it because I was not getting paid hourly, there was just something about being able to somewhat control what my monthly income was going to look like.  Realistically though there were very slow months in the car business as well.  But the reason I’m writing this post is for a few reasons I actually did okay in the car business because I was a student in that industry.  I knew about the cars I was selling and I knew about the competition.  I would go to several trainings in person as well as online, I knew how to do a six point walk around on a car to sell the FAB (features, advantages and benefits).  The reason I did train is so I could be just a little bit better then my competition and it did make a difference in my income.  Now the big picture was, what was my future going to look like if I continued to do the same thing in life…there was a ceiling to my income Continue Reading

“Mirror mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of all?” The mirror answered-. “Thou, O Queen, art the fairest of all,”. Well in case you haven’t seen Snow White or read the book or maybe you did and are naive, you didn’t know but I will inform you that the mirror was lying it’s behind off.  A lot of us sit around looking for others to make us feel special and tell us what we want to hear versus the truth, when I believe a lot of times we know what the truth is. A real friend isn’t going to sugar coat something when we ask an opinion or ask something in regards to what we are doing. However even what a friend tells us doesn’t mean it’s right because that friend may not be fully informed on what you are asking their opinion about.

Looking in the mirror is a good thing and not for model vanity purposes. We just need to be honest with ourselves when it comes to wanting to make improvements in our life. Maybe it’s a health issue that you want to improve, are you giving it your best shot because the mirrors not talking unless it’s you doing the talking.  Is it a financial change that you want to take place? If it is either health or financial then the mirror is a good thing if you will be honest.   That is key will you be honest?

What all good models have is a good mentor, now there you go thinking I mean a beauty model but the definitions of a model is
1. A small object, usually built to scale, that represents in detail another, often larger object.
2.  a. A preliminary work or construction that serves as a plan from which a final product is to be made: a clay model ready for casting.
b. Such a work or construction used in testing or perfecting a final product: a test model of a solar-powered vehicle.
3. A schematic description of a system, theory, or phenomenon that accounts for its known or inferred properties and may be used for further study of its characteristics: a model of generative grammar; a model of an atom; an economic model.
4. A style or design of an item: My car is last year’s model.
5. One serving as an example to be imitated or compared: a model of decorum.
6. One that serves as the subject for an artist, especially a person employed to pose for a painter, sculptor, or photographer.
7. A person employed to display merchandise, such as clothing or cosmetics.

So as you look in the mirror what or who are you modeling because in our line of business when it comes to Network Marketing we have the opportunity to model after others who are having success both health and financial. Are you following the plan, are you imitating, are you looking at the comparison, are you being the display that others can copy?

It’s okay if the answer is no, because the mirror like I was saying can be a good thing if you will be honest, there is all sorts of good models and good examples and good mentors that can help sculpt you into the finished product you would like to become. What you have to decide is if you will put the blame where it should go (point at mirror) instead of blaming everyone else. We have to take responsibility, that is one great thing I have noticed for years when it comes to great champions who have won and also with the same champions who have lost, whether it’s a team sport or individual sport they do not blame their teammates or staff, they accept responsibility.  Especially when things don’t go right and they also give credit to others when things go right. Don’t forget where you came from, always understand that you can improve in life no matter how old or young.  Just look for the people you would like to model your life after and take action, because actions speak louder then saying mirror mirror on the wall and THE TRUTH WILL MAKE YOU FREE.   My friends the mirror can be a really good thing if you accept what you see and improve what you can, there are a lot of other people waiting for you to be a good model for them, take action now.
