
So it’s February and that New Years resolution goal you set to lose weight, gain muscle, make more money, pay off debt, spend more time with loved one and…(INSERT YOUR RESOLUTION HERE) is wearing off and back to reality you go. Wait a minute! What are you doing. No really wouldn’t it be awesome to finally accomplish what you set out to do.
Now don’t beat yourself up because you are giving up it’s really just…
time to set things in order alright. So lets just say you already know what you want and go to your next step.
- You have got to establish WHY you want to accomplish your New Years resolution. One of my mentors Dani Johnson says “Nothing becomes dynamic until it becomes specific!”
- Your next step is to understand HOW you get to the end of this goal or resolution. (HOW is HUGE) the best way is to follow someone who has a track record of accomplishing what you want to get done. HOW IS GOING TO HAVE EVERYTHING TO DO WITH GAINING SKILL. You must train to gain skill. With the power of the internet these days there is really no excuse to not get better in whatever it is you want. If you can plug into a class or a mentor that can help you that is the ultimate way to get it done the fastest and easiest. Will it cost? It may, but gaining a skill is something that can’t be taken away from you if you continue to use it so the value is absolutely (PRICELESS).I was recently talking to one of my great friends Charles from years ago. He use to be a skinny guy and over the past few years he has transformed his body into a great physical build. He said the problem with most people accomplishing a goal of in this case gaining muscle is, they come in for a month and gain some muscle weight but after that month they don’t see any major change the second month and they give up. He himself was recently complaining to a lady friend of his and she said, “you don’t see what we see you look great” she told him to step back from the mirror and then he saw how great his physique really was.
PROBLEM: Number one thing they don’t do is have a goal, a plan of action of what they should be lifting, eating and expecting as far as muscle gain. They also don’t take advantage of the free weight trainers that are at the gym. They try and get things done on their own and don’t accomplish what they set out to.
SOLUTION: I already gave it to you read number 1 and 2 again.
I truly hope this makes a difference in your life with accomplishing what you set out to do. Now for the resolution or goal get off of here and get into action mode because there is no better time then the present.
P.S. Step away from the mirror in life, quit judging yourself and just keep training and gaining the skill. Believe me as you do everyone around you will notice, you will impact someone elses life because they will want to do what you do and because you mastered that skill you will be in position to help if you choose to.
