I remember about 6 years ago when I had been in the car business for over 13 years I enjoyed it because I was not getting paid hourly, there was just something about being able to somewhat control what my monthly income was going to look like.  Realistically though there were very slow months in the car business as well.  But the reason I’m writing this post is for a few reasons I actually did okay in the car business because I was a student in that industry.  I knew about the cars I was selling and I knew about the competition.  I would go to several trainings in person as well as online, I knew how to do a six point walk around on a car to sell the FAB (features, advantages and benefits).  The reason I did train is so I could be just a little bit better then my competition and it did make a difference in my income.  Now the big picture was, what was my future going to look like if I continued to do the same thing in life…there was a ceiling to my income as I looked at other leaders from managers to assistant managers to general managers in the car organization that I worked for, I wasn’t willing to settle for their lives, not that they were bad just not what I aspired to make happen for me and my family.

Bit with a 1% of 100 people bug
It was around October of 2005 when a friend of mine who introduced me to the car business and also several years before, first introduced me to the home business industry.  He came back to me with a different business but the same bug that bit me and changed me years ago.  Years prior to the car business and my second go around to full time freedom I was introduced to a gentleman named Bill Gouldd and a company called Equinox.  This was a completely different set of teachings, beliefs and thought patterns it was the life and the gateway to my entrepreneur spirit that was waiting to be developed, my competitive nature, my desire to have more and be more than the average person.  This was not an ego and is not an ego it was just something inside of me that was dying to get out and I was punched hard in the gut or between the eyes to where your eyes start to water when Bill mentioned, a quote from J. Paul Getty who was famous for giving strategies for acquiring wealth, he was an oil billionaire and his quote that bit me for life was, “I’d rather have one percent of the efforts of 100 people than 100 percent of my own efforts.”  This just made sense to me for instance there’s 24hrs in a day and only one of me.  I’m not capable of working 24hrs in a day and getting paid but if I had 3 people that worked 8hrs and I made a percentage that’s 24hrs I could potentially get paid for that I couldn’t do by my self.  That my friends made sense to me especially when it was based on my helping that person increase their skills through directing them to personal growth like I was going through and went through.

You’ve got to pay to play
I spent a ton of money on my education and it was a ton of money that I did not have, I had to borrow then I had to borrow some more and then guess what…yep I sure did borrow again.  I borrowed just like other people borrowed to go to school to get a good education then he or she gets good grades in hopes that when they get out they will get a good job.  That is formal education and I went through informal wealth building and learning about people education.  There’s a few really good things here, you must absolutely increase your skill and this is something you can do for free and also through paying for training either way you’ve got to pay to play, pay by either capitol, sweat equity or both.  I chose both and it has yielded me a professional level of income to the tune of 5 figures monthly.  Is it worth it?  YES, in order for things to change you must make changes because I always tell people change is constant so start right now.

In Reality
Heart to Heart your income is directly related to your personal growth!  If you want your income to grow it’s kind of like this garbage in garbage out, goods in goods out!  You spend your time watching TV, News reading the Daily Enquirer etc… or you spend your time reading John C Maxwell, The Bible, Success Magazine etc…?  YOUR INCOME IS DIRECTLY RELATED TO WHAT YOU INPUT, IT’S TIME TO GROW IN THE DIRECTION YOU WANT TO GO YOUR CHOICE :-) The reality is, there is no way that you can remain the same and your income increase due to what you control in your life.  Ever heard of growing pains?  Growing pains are uncomfortable but in order for you to grow in anything and get better you must go through this period of little comfort.  What is definitely going to have to take place is getting out of your comfort zone!  You must make a decision to sow into your education in this profession of working from home.  It is not easy, it is simple and overall it is worth it in a major way.  There’s an old saying you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, thank God you aren’t a dog!  You are a human being the most intelligent creatures on Earth.  You can learn how to increase your skill just make a decision you are worth it.  Bottom line is if you want your income to increase, your income is directly related to your personal growth.  With that being said you better start listening too or reading today, yes turn that dog gone tv off for a little while it’s worth it.

Sincerely To Bring Out The Best In You,

Madiba, WOW!!!! This has been the most inspiring blog I could have read lately. ITS SO FUNNY BUT TRUE when you said, that people spend so much time on tv and doing other things that are not productive and that does reflect your income and blocks you from personal growth. Well it did for me, I used to watch television and all that nonsense ALOT and wondered why I wasn’t where I was. I am now a better person doing the things that a leader does. I’ve always said and most important thought to myself, “I will follow a leader because they have what I want.” =) You obviously know the road to success and we are there with you, following you. It’s true when they say Lead by Example. =) Very nicely written Madibz! ;) God bless your kind heart and your family.

God Bless you and again Thank You for being a difference maker.
